Historical fun for the children!
The castle is open all year round and full of fun stuff for our young royals. From the children’s north west tower all the way down to the dungeons. Go on exciting assignments, visit with Laban the Little Ghost, or celebrate your birthday with your very own knight or princess party at Örebro’s most historic castle.
Örebro Castle is also the children’s castle
Magnus Eriksson is only three years old when he becomes king of Sweden. How happy would little Magnus be today? If he could only have known that 700 years later a whole bunch of young kings, queens, knights and princesses were running around and playing in his castle. And that you can go to a children’s party. And ride a hobby horse. And try a crossbow. And that Laban the Little Ghost lives here today.
Today there is always something for children to do at the castle. Even for the children who have not really learned to love art, culture and history just yet. Oh what a lovely vase, is it from the Gustavian period do you think? …said no child ever!
