The castle inside and out.A castle in the middle of town. Majestic like few others and with 700 years of history. What's more, large parts of it are open to the public. So take a look at the beautiful halls and hidden corners. Admire the magnificent paintings and discover details here and there. Soak up the castle atmosphere and sense the wings of history. And don't miss the magnificent view from all the windows and small peepholes.
Beads & Pixels – an exhibition featuring Pappas Pärlor.Beads become pixels. Which become works of art that are hard not to be charmed by. Discover a wealth of motifs from video games, music, film, and art. Pappas Pärlor offers a pop culture shock, lots of nostalgia, and a great desire to go home and start beading.
Little explorers won’t want to miss the egg hunt. Seven very different eggs seem to have rolled away from their spots. The task is to find them, and of course, an egg hunt reward awaits. There’s also the Children’s Tower —the perfect spot for play and mischief. Be sure to take on the Explorer children’s challenge. Tricky riddles and fun activities lead to a code that’s the key to the treasure chest. As a bonus, you’ll learn more about Örebro Castle and its history.
You don't need to be interested in history to enjoy historical tour of the castle. It's great fun to learn about what has happened during the castle's 700-year history. The tour takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as throughout the Easter weekend (April 2–6) at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. As always, it is included in the admission ticket.
