Guided tour of the Museum of Biology

Book your own guide for your group

Just a stone's throw from the palace is Karolinska High School, a school dating back to the 14th century. In the northernmost building, aptly named "Siberia," you'll find the school's biology museum.

The museum opened in 1864 and today offers a fascinating glimpse into what school museums of that era looked like. Inside, you’ll find, among other things, a large number of stuffed mammals, such as moose, deer, and lynx. There are also plenty of birds and bird eggs, mussels and snails, fish, snakes, and insects. All the information is carefully documented.

The Natural History Museum is only open to the public during the height of summer and the fall break (week 44). So a guided tour here makes for a truly unique experience.
