Back in the day, it was Engelbrekt, Gustav Vasa, and Charles IX who ran the show at Örebro Castle. Today, it’s Örebrokompaniet makes sure fun and exciting things happen here—the kind of things that draw people from near and far to come here and experience the Castle.
The National Property Board owns and manages Örebro Castle and has therefore Örebrokompaniet to run its public operations. This involves keeping the Castle , organizing exhibitions and activities, and renting out rooms for both corporate events and private gatherings.

Lots of fun things happen here
Since 2018, the Castle has been the Castle vibrant and accessible cultural heritage the Castle right in the heart of the city. Open to everyone, year-round. Here you’ll find elegant halls, magnificent paintings, and plenty of castle-like settings. From time to time, various artists and exhibition curators bring their works to the castle’s halls. And you can always visit the Children’s Tower, The Castle Shop Lill-Annas .
And that's not all. Both businesses and individuals can rent the halls for their own events. You can have your wedding at the Castle. And when that beloved little one has a birthday, it's a great place to host a children's party.
What about the governor? Oh yes, she still lives in the official residence in one of the towers. In addition, a whole host of companies rent space at the Castle to run their businesses from what is perhaps the city’s best location.
