Availability of the castle
castle , with its 700-year history, presents some challenges when it comes to accessibility. But of course, there are solutions in place to make your visit easier.

Before your visit
Parking There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities on Kansligatan, about 50 meters from the Castle's entrance tower.
Strollers Due to space limitations, strollers need to stay in the stroller parking area on the ground floor of the entrance tower. Need to borrow a lock? Just ask in The Castle Shop.
Hearing AssistanceDo you need hearing assistance during a guided tour? Please let us know before your visit. The castle does not have its own equipment, but will try to borrow some if needed.
During your visit
Elevator The Palace elevator is located in the entrance tower, which is the southwest tower. The elevator takes you to three floors: Level 1, home to the “ The Castle Shop ,” where you can purchase “ admission ticket ” and other items, as well as Levels 2 and 3, where you’ll find exhibitions and historic halls. The other public areas at the castle are accessible via stairs.
Restrooms are located in several places at the castle. You'll find an accessible restroom (RWC) at The Castle Shop on Level 1, as well as near the small coat check area on Level 3.
Sign Language Tours The historical tour of “ the castle ” is occasionally conducted in sign language. Please contact us for more information and to make a reservation.
Hearing Loop There are hearing loops in both Rikssalen Länssalen. This means you can use the hearing loop when you attend a lecture, conference, or other event in either of these halls.
