Accessibility at the Castle
A Castle 700 years old presents some challenges when it comes to accessibility. But of course, there are solutions in place to make your visit easier.

Before your visit
Parking There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities on Kansligatan, about 50 meters from the Castle's entrance tower.
Strollers Due to space limitations, strollers need to stay in the stroller parking area on the ground floor of the entrance tower. Need to borrow a lock? Just ask in The Castle Shop.
Hearing AssistanceDo you need hearing assistance during a guided tour? Please let us know before your visit. The Castle not The Castle its own equipment, but will try to borrow some if needed.
During your visit
Elevator The Castle’s elevator is located in the entrance tower, which is the southwest tower. The elevator takes you to three floors: Level 1, The Castle Shop you’ll find The Castle Shop — The Castle Shop you can purchase admission tickets and more—as well as Levels 2 and 3, where you’ll find exhibitions and historic halls. The other public areas of the Castle via stairs.
Restrooms are located in several places throughout the Castle. You'll find an accessible restroom at The Castle Shop Level 1 and at the small coat check on Level 3.
Sign Language Tours The historical tour of the Castle occasionally the Castle in sign language. Please contact us for more information and to make a reservation.
Hearing Loop There are hearing loops in both Rikssalen Länssalen. This means you can use the hearing loop when you attend a lecture, conference, or other event in either of these halls.
Hearing Assistance Do you need a hearing aid during a guided tour? Please let us know before your visit. The Castle not The Castle its own equipment, but will try to borrow some if needed.
