City of Light
– Choral concert featuring guest artist Martin Stenmarck
For the ninth year in a row, the choral concert “Stad i ljus” is being held at the castle. The concert will be a beautiful way to kick off All Saints’ Day weekend.
The 400-member choir “Sjung med Spångberg” performs under the direction of Anki and Magnus Spångberg. This year’s concert features a guest appearance by Örebro’s own Martin Stenmarck. Also performing are the Swedish Church’s children’s choirs, Tonfjärilarna and Voices, under the direction of Mirjam Blomberg.
Young people from the Church of Sweden in Örebro are handing out candles to concertgoers during the concert. A simple message for All Saints’ Day: “You are not alone. The candles are free. Please take one!”
The event is organized by the Church of Sweden, the Church of Sweden in Örebro ( Örebrokompaniet) / Örebro ( castle), the Bilda Svealand Educational Association, and Anki and Magnus Spångberg with the choir “Sjung med Spångberg.”
